Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accountant to join our clients practice based in Manchester.
A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- ACCA/ACA qualified or QBE with solid practice experience
- At least 4 years recent practice experience
- Experience using software packages such as; Sage, VT, Xero, QuickBooks and Capium is essential
- Experience working in busy accountancy practice
- Experience giving relevant advice to clients and handling any queries
- Good working knowledge of payroll/PAYE
The role entails:
- Producing Year-End accounts for clients, mainly limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and charities
- Completing and submitting VAT returns
- Completing and submitting self assessment and corporation tax returns
- Giving tax planning advise to clients
- Dealing with any client queries and liaising with clients on a regular basis
- Assisting with the training of junior members of staff
- Maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information for SME's
The salary for this role is between £22,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
