Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Semi Senior Accountant to join their established practice based in Colchester, Essex.
A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part qualified
- Experience speaking to clients and having confidence giving advice and answering any questions
- Experience preparing accounts for Sole Traders and Limited Companies
- Experience preparing VAT returns
- Experience preparing corporation and personal tax returns would be beneficial but not essential as our client is happy to provide training
- Bookkeeping experience
- Experience using Sage, Xero and QuickBooks for bookkeeping would be beneficial
- Experience using IRIS
The role entails:
- Preparing year end accounts for clients
- Preparing VAT returns
- Bookkeeping for the firms clients using Sage
- Preparing corporation and personal tax returns
- Assisting with payroll
- Speaking to clients in order to assist with any queries
This is an opportunity to join a friendly and supportive firm where there is the ability to develop and progress. This role will be likely to be split between the firms Colchester and Dovercourt offices.
The salary for this role is dependant on experience but between £28,000 - £30,000 but may be flexible for the right candidate
