Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accounts Assistant to join their practice based in Maidstone, Kent.

This is an opportunity to join an established and busy practice

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Ideally AAT qualified but not essential 
  • At least 3 years recent practice experience 
  • Experience working in a varied and busy environment 

The role entails:

  • Preparing annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies using IRIS Accounts Production
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Bookkeeping (experience using both cloud and desktop based software)
  • Preparing self assessment tax returns (including personal tax calculations) - good basic personal tax knowledge and experience using IRIS Personal Tax
  • Tax calculations (corporation tax and income tax) - good understanding of basic business tax and experience using IRIS Business Tax
  • Dealing with any client enquiries relevant to level of experience

The salary for this role is dependant on experience but up to £25,000 but may be flexible for the right candidate
