Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in Maidstone, Kent for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their friendly manufacturing business.
The role entails:
- Raising sales invoices on Sage
- Producing bank reconciliations
- Preparing VAT returns including submissions to HMRC
- Posting purchase invoices onto Sage
- Keeping track of the company’s cash flow, including preparing weekly cash flow reports
- Assisting with the production of weekly and monthly management accounts
- Admin, including but not limited to: answering the phone, showing people into meetings, etc.
- Assisting with credit control, including chasing any late payments
- Assisting with the management of the purchase ledger
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- AAT level 3 or Level 4 although our client will consider candidates qualified by experience
- Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector would be beneficial
- Being a team player
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Problem solving skills
- Good attention to detail
The salary for this position is up to £35,000 for the right candidate, dependent on experience
The hours for this position can be flexible if required
