Accounts Assistant - Maidstone

Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in Maidstone, Kent for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their friendly manufacturing business.

The role entails:

  • Raising sales invoices on Sage
  • Producing bank reconciliations
  • Preparing VAT returns including submissions to HMRC
  • Posting purchase invoices onto Sage
  • Keeping track of the company’s cash flow, including preparing weekly cash flow reports
  • Assisting with the production of weekly and monthly management accounts
  • Admin, including but not limited to: answering the phone, showing people into meetings, etc.
  • Assisting with credit control, including chasing any late payments
  • Assisting with the management of the purchase ledger

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • AAT level 3 or Level 4 although our client will consider candidates qualified by experience
  • Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector would be beneficial
  • Being a team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good attention to detail

The salary for this position is up to £35,000 for the right candidate, dependent on experience

The hours for this position can be flexible if required
