Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an Audit Senior to join their established practice based in York. Our client has multiple offices and offers a generous benefit package.

The role entails

  • Preparing accounts from a variety of client’s systems including Sage and Xero
  • Audit of financial statements from planning to completion, including responsibility for managing the on-site audit team
  • Preparing corporation tax computations
  • Actioning queries raised by accounts and tax managers on the drafts
  • Finalisation of the accounts and corporation tax computations following client meetings
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients for ad hoc queries
  • Providing training and guidance to trainees as required

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience 

  • ACCA or ICAEW qualified 
  • At least 3 years experience working in a firm of Chartered Accountants 
  • Experience speaking to clients in order to give a good level of customer service
  • Experience managing all aspects of a portfolio of clients, principally owner managed SME's 
  • Audit experience and experience leading audits would be beneficial

The salary for this role is flexible and depends on experience but between £33,000 - £35,000 as a guide
