Depot Foreman - Scotland

Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Depot Foreman to join our client business in Livingston, Scotland

This role is essential to our clients business, the Depot Foreman will be expected to continually develop strong internal relationships, effectively manage the depots employees, ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed and that customer service is consistently maintained to a high standard. 

The role entails:

  • Relationship and Service: Developing and maintaining effective relationships with all employees. Also ensuring that optimum service levels are achieved and maintained
  • Business awareness and profitability: Making sure that you are aware of cost control at all times, and ensuring that the minimum quality standards are managed. 
  • Asset Management: Making sure that you are in constant control of stock and assets within the depot, including, ensuring that the plant vehicles, tools and the depot are all maintained and secure at all times 
  • Employee Management: Following company procedure with annual staff performance and development reviews, including checking that all staff are trained and developed effectively. Also assisting with the depots recruitment process. 
  • Administration: Managing regular stock checks and audits, managing the depots cash float and fuel (including fuel cards) and ensuring that weekly and monthly reports are produced efficiently and accurately
  • Health and Safety: Ensuring that all reasonable health and safety standards are met, and that all employees and visitors adhere to company standards. Also monitoring all driving endorsements, drivers hours and tachographs

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working at a supervisory/management level 
  • A good understanding of health and safety standards (BSC Level Health and Safety or equivalent)
  • Full UK licence (having an LGV licence would be advantageous but is not essential) 
  • An accredited counterbalance licence (Essential)
  • CSCS Card Site Visitor (Desirable) 
  • Intermediate computer literacy - MS Office/Outlook

The salary for this role is dependent on experience but between £33,000 - £36,000
