Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Financial Controller to join their company based in Tonbridge, Kent

This position is for 3-4 days per week (part work from home and part office based)

The role entails (but is not limited to):

  • Managing the sales and purchase ledger 
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting 
  • Producing monthly management accounts
  • Preparing and completing VAT returns
  • Dealing with the firms payroll
  • Completing bank reconciliations 
  • Managing junior members of the accounts team 
  • Credit control 

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW qualified 
  • Previous experience working as a Financial Controller
  • Being able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working within smaller companies 
  • Being enthusiastic and having a "can do" attitude 
  • Experience using Sage 50, Bankline and Team Desk

Our client is trialling a flexible hybrid working environment which means that 2 days per week would be worked in the office and the other days would be worked from home

The salary for this position is up to £40,000 (pro rata) dependant on experience, however, our client will be flexible for the right candidate
