Insurance Account Handler - Gravesend

Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an Insurance Account Handler to join their established firm based in Gravesend, Kent 

The role entails:

  • Working over a wide range of Commercial Lines Insurances including but not limited to: SME's, retail, hospitality, fleet, property owners, etc. 
  • This role will mainly focus on generating new business 
  • Administering mid term adjustments, renewals and new business quotations for clients 
  • Regularly speaking with clients on the phone, face to face or via email 
  • Assisting with credit control when required 
  • Building relationships with clients in order to learn about their needs and requirements, which is essential for ensuring that the most effective insurance solution is delivered 
  • Looking for gaps in the clients cover and identifying ways in which these can be covered by additional services 
  • Undergoing regular training to ensure that you are up to date with any developments to the insurance sector 
  • Ensuring that all problems are brought to your managers attention in a timely manner

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • At least 1 years' experience working as an Insurance Account Handler 
  • Experience and knowledge of Commercial Lines 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise workloads 
  • Good team work skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team 
  • Experience with the Open GI System 
  • It would be beneficial for the successful candidate to have or be working towards Cert CII

Other details:

  • The salary for this position is between £25,000 - £30,000 + target based bonuses after probation 
  • Our client will support candidates through the Cert CII qualification 
  • Further training is available
