Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an Insurance Account Handler to join their established firm based in Gravesend, Kent
The role entails:
- Working over a wide range of Commercial Lines Insurances including but not limited to: SME's, retail, hospitality, fleet, property owners, etc.
- This role will mainly focus on generating new business
- Administering mid term adjustments, renewals and new business quotations for clients
- Regularly speaking with clients on the phone, face to face or via email
- Assisting with credit control when required
- Building relationships with clients in order to learn about their needs and requirements, which is essential for ensuring that the most effective insurance solution is delivered
- Looking for gaps in the clients cover and identifying ways in which these can be covered by additional services
- Undergoing regular training to ensure that you are up to date with any developments to the insurance sector
- Ensuring that all problems are brought to your managers attention in a timely manner
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- At least 1 years' experience working as an Insurance Account Handler
- Experience and knowledge of Commercial Lines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise workloads
- Good team work skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with the Open GI System
- It would be beneficial for the successful candidate to have or be working towards Cert CII
Other details:
- The salary for this position is between £25,000 - £30,000 + target based bonuses after probation
- Our client will support candidates through the Cert CII qualification
- Further training is available
