Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for Regional Mentors to join their growing team. These positions are fundamental to our clients growth. 

The role entails: 

  • Recruiting and mentoring the learners who are attending LGV training courses, this lasts between 1 to 3 weeks. The mentoring will involve guiding each learner from initial enquiry, through their training journey to successful employment as LGV drivers. 
  • Regular contact with mentees, referral partners and potential employers - face to face, via video-conference and telephone calls
  • Following up and closing on warm learner and employer leads
  • Generate leads through - visits, telephone and other focused marketing initiatives 
  • Traveling on a daily basis throughout your allocated region - a company vehicle will be provided

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • A confident approach with people and the ability to "think on your feet"
  • The ability to motivate other people and to motivate yourself 
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to make good quality notes and accurate records 
  • Good time management 
  • An outgoing personality 
  • A full clean licence 
  • This role will require an Enhanced DBS
  • No previous experience of LGV driving is required as your role will focused on motivating and ensuring that there are successful outcomes

The salary for this role is £24,000, plus a company vehicle, plus £5 per learner completing training and £10 per learner job outcome. This will roughly work out to be a bonus of at £5,000+ which will be paid throughout the year upon successful outcomes. 

The core hours of this position will be Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm but in order to facilitate learner contact, it will involve some flexibility to allow for calls to take place on Saturday morning and early evening during weekdays. Ideally you would have a quiet place to work from home where you will be able to make voice and video calls. 

Holiday entitlement is statutory (20 days + Bank Holidays)
