Sous Chef - Ashford

Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Sous Chef to join our clients premises based near Ashford, Kent

The role entails

  • Assisting with the creation of new menus, taking into account seasonal availability and price
  • Assisting the Head Chef with the smooth running of the kitchen 
  • Managing the kitchen when the Head Chef is away 
  • Ensuring that the kitchen is cleaned to an excellent standard and that it is compliant with food safety procedures

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • At least 1-2 year experience working in a similar role 
  • Experience working within a fresh food environment 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Having a passion for food 

The salary for this position is between £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience (this role is for a 50 hour week Saturday work is essential but every second Sunday off)
